This soft-close mechanism for sliding wardrobe doors takes control of the final section of travel. As the panel approaches the closed position, the damping element absorbs part of the movement and lets the door settle into place instead of striking the frame at full speed. The result is a more controlled closing action that can limit impact noise and reduce repeated shock on the door, rollers and track.
The supplied specification lists a high-carbon steel or customized inner bearing, nylon, POM or customized outer material, an engineering-plastic and metal housing, a steel shaft and a tolerance of +/-0.1 mm. Door thickness, door weight, mechanism length, mounting holes and damping strength can be matched to a customer drawing, sample or track profile.
Because soft-close performance depends on the complete door system, the final selection should consider panel weight, opening speed, mounting position, track geometry and expected daily use. The mechanism should be treated as part of the roller, carriage and door hardware rather than as a stand-alone specification.
